A strong, steady power supply

Our mission has always been to give customers the backbone of a strong, steady power supply – whether for car audio, motorsport, off-grid living or any other application.

Serious output at idle

High-idle models deliver up to 220A at 800rpm engine speed, and our top units output over 500A at 2000rpm.

Off-grid battery charging

Suitable for off-grid power supplies – camping, travelling or remote locations – for running appliances and charging batteries.

Choose your voltage

Order with an internal set voltage of 14.4V, 14.8V or 15V, or with an external adjustable regulator to fine-tune output to your system.

Dyno tested

Every alternator is hand-built, stress tested and amperage dyno tested before it leaves our premises.

Direct fitment

Direct-fit products for hundreds of vehicles, including VW/Audi, Ford, Volvo, Citroën, Peugeot, Land Rover, Renault, Nissan and more.

Support after delivery

12 months warranty on parts and labour, including full support on installation and operation once your alternator arrives.

Two ways to charge your lithium bank

Fit a high output alternator set to the voltage you need – or, where an aftermarket alternator won't fit, add a dedicated 15.4V DC-DC charge system and leave the factory charging untouched.

Hand-built right here in the UK

All of our alternators are built to order, by hand, in the UK.

We hand build, stress test and amperage dyno all alternators before they leave the premises, and offer multiple finish and regulator options. Alternators can be painted in a colour of your choice using a hard-wearing 2-pack epoxy paint – just give us a colour code with your order.

From a hobby to a full-scale business

Born from a passion for car audio, D2U Alternators evolved from a hobby to a full-scale business.

We have over 15 years of experience in high level commercial electrical engineering and a Master's Degree education, which is the backbone of our research & development and production.

Over the years we have developed an industry-leading level of expertise which allows us to design and engineer the best performing and highest outputting alternators in the industry. Our team has developed direct fitment products for 100s of vehicles and are now able to offer alternators outputting over 500A – the most powerful in the game.
